Managing Director

John Cambridge is a graduate in Chemical Engineering and a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers with over 36 years’ experience of working within the oil and gas industry. John joined Genesis in 1989 from Texaco, where he held the role of Chief Process Engineer in London. In 1994 he became Director of the London Consultancy at Genesis and in 2010 he was appointed Managing Director and has helped position Genesis as one of the world’s leading engineering companies servicing the upstream oil and gas sector.

Thierry Conti is a graduate in Mechanical and Finance Engineering from French grande école d’ingénieurs Centrale Nantes, and spent the last 10 years working within the oil and gas industry. Thierry has previously held multiple strategic development roles within TechnipFMC both in Paris and Houston, focusing on investments in assets, value creation and developing innovative solutions for its customers. Prior to joining Genesis in 2017, he was Director Strategy, Development and Integration for the North America Regional Business Unit. Thierry holds the position of Senior Vice President Americas, based in Houston, responsible to drive our business and support our clients across the region.

Alan has been in the oil and gas industry for over 40 years, working for both operators and contractors. He joined Genesis in 1998 and since 2008 Alan has been responsible for the Tunisia branch office, successfully delivering a number of strategic projects under MSA for two International Operators. Alan is currently Senior Vice President of Genesis' Offshore and Onshore Projects business in London, and Genesis' operations in Egypt and Tunisia.

Since joining Genesis in 2005, Ben has held engineering and management positions in our London, Perth and Kuala Lumpur offices, becoming responsible for the successful establishment of the Kuala Lumpur office in 2012.  Ben’s engineering experience in oil and gas facilities spans over 17 years, including working on upstream and downstream projects worldwide, with strengths in process engineering and field development planning.  As a Chartered Chemical Engineer and holding a Graduate Certificate of Business, Ben now holds the position of Senior Vice President Asia Pacific, responsible for driving growth of the Genesis business across the region.

Graham is qualified in Mechanical Engineering, and entered the upstream oil and gas arena in 1991, joining Coflexip UK, then later, European Marine Contractors. In 1996, he joined Genesis’ fledgling subsea engineering consultants team and in 2001 he was tasked with expanding / evolving Genesis’ subsea business offering, to cater for the full project life cycle, from pre FEED, FEED/ Execute, and on in to operations support. The journey proved to be highly successful and today, Graham is Senior Vice President of our UK subsea engineering consultancy service.

David Roche has over 28 years’ experience of working within the oil and gas industry.  He has spent periods of his career in major operating companies, design contractors and engineering consultancy in both site and office based roles. David joined Genesis in 1994, and has been a key part of the development of the London Consultancy in the intervening period including long term assignments to Norway and being responsible for the Houston Consultancy business from late 2011 through 2013. David’s current role is Senior Vice President, responsible for our London, Kazakhstan and Abu Dhabi consultancies.

Franck holds a degree in Finance from the Paris Dauphine University.  He started his career as an auditor with Deloitte in France. In 2005 Franck joined the Technip Group and since then has held management positions in Paris and Kuala Lumpur.  He has vast experience in the accountancy and finance sector and very recently held the position of VP Finance for the Group joint venture Forsys Subsea. Franck joins Genesis as Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for all finance related matters for Genesis globally, as well as providing finance support as a shared service to other Technip entities based in London. Last but not least, managing and developing the Finance Team.

Daniel holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, specialising in Small Business & Entrepreneurship and Human Resource Management.  He began his career in Human Resources with Technip in the Netherlands, followed by international assignments in Rome as HR Project Manager and Aberdeen as HR Manager.  Prior to joining Genesis as Global HR Director in 2015, he held the position of VP Corporate HR Excellence at Technip Corporate based in Paris.  Daniel is responsible for the development and implementation of the Genesis HR strategy.

Ian is a Chartered IT Professional (MBCS CITP) with over 30 years’ experience in the field of IT.  Ian joined Genesis in 2015 having come from Retail Banking. Previous to this, Ian spent 7 years in BP Oil International where he was a Chief Architect within the Integrated Supply & Trading organisation based in London. Ian is accountable for the provision of IT services to Genesis staff globally.

Marie-Astrid started as a Legal Counsel at Technip’s headquarters in Paris before joining Technip in The Netherlands where she was the Subsea Legal Counsel. Marie-Astrid is now a valued member of the legal taskforce at Genesis where her responsibilities include organising and coordinating the legal operations worldwide. She holds a Masters in International Business Law, a Bachelor of Law and Foreign Languages from the Université Paris XI and is fluent in English and French.

Roddy Macpherson has over 22 years’ experience of working within the oil and gas industry. Roddy has spent periods of his career in major operating companies, design contractors and engineering consultancy in both site and office based roles. Roddy joined Genesis in 1999 and helped the Aberdeen Consultancy transition and grow from its traditional process engineering roots into a multi-discipline organisation, doubling in size. Roddy holds the position of Senior Vice President, and is responsible for the growth of our Norwegian and Paris consultancies whilst retaining overall responsibility for the Aberdeen consultancy business.

Carla has over 30 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry and joined Genesis from BP. She has now worked for Genesis for over 16 years and has been a study manager for 14 of those years, running some of the world class projects during the early assess/select phases. In 2013 Carla was appointed the Global Business Development Director and joined the Executive Committee.

Jeanette has over 32 years’ of experience in the oil and gas and automotive industry as a Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental and Risk Management professional.  Jeanette joined in Genesis in 2011 and is responsible for the design, implementation, communication and coordination of all global QHSES programs which bear critical importance to overall company objectives, operations, and profitability.
