The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) is the global professional membership organisation for people with relevant experience or an interest in chemical engineering and are the only organisation to award Chartered Chemical Engineer status.

This award recognises Genesis’ achievements of meeting IChemE’s standards for commitment to the chemical engineering profession and of meeting the IChemEs international standards of training and professional development for chemical engineers. Genesis intend to apply for Silver and Gold status in due course to recognise the work we do externally supporting such schemes as whynotchemeng and SONG.

IChemE are also licensed to award the titles of Chartered Engineer (CEng), Chartered Scientist (CSi) and Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) to suitably qualified members. Founded in 1922 as a professional institution for chemical and process engineers, IChemE has grown to its current status of approaching 38,000 members across 120 countries.
