Construction Support

Genesis can provide construction supervision and commissioning management on projects as an extension of our services on projects. The skills required for these tasks are drawn from experienced in-house engineering personnel providing continuity from the engineering phase of the project supported by skilled site construction/commissioning personnel. The Genesis involvement in the construction and commissioning activities is at management and supervising level overseeing the activities of competent Contractors performing the physical work.

Typically Genesis can provide the following services: 

• Follow on engineering support and site query response management
• Planning and progress monitoring
• Document Management
• Construction superintendence and QA inspection
• Materials control & reconciliation
• Mechanical completion documentation and management
• Commissioning procedures
• Vendor representative management
• Start-up and operations manuals

Genesis has experience in working within the constraints of existing client Mechanical Completion and Commissioning management systems (MCS).

 Alternatively Genesis may utilise our own MCS system which is mature and has been successfully applied on EPIC contracts by Genesis.  

Management of completions is established within the bounds of system categories and priorities as follows:

• Cleaning and preparation
• Essential utility systems (temporary power systems, HVAC etc)
• Essential safety and control systems (PCS, ESD, F&G etc)
• Non-essential utility systems (drains, vents, diesel, water, mechanical handling etc)
• Non-essential safety and control systems (emergency lighting, PA/GA, Telecomms etc)
• Rotating equipment alignment and spin testing
• Process/hydrocarbon systems  

Genesis has the capability to assume the role of Interface co-ordination ensuring that all completion and commissioning activities are thoroughly closed out and that the requirements for Client, Third Party witnessing or authority representation are properly planned and co-ordinated.
